Unable to verify phone numbers at SIGN UP for nigerian number error message "We couldn't send the SMS. Please try again later"

I am trying to sign up on retel while i am ale to sign up i am still blocked with the phone verification step specifically for my nigerian phone i am getting this error “We couldn’t send the SMS. Please try again later“

I will use a US phone number just for account signup verification, but that US number will not be used for anything else. I will then change the account to be verified by email. And I would rather change the phone to one from my country. The problem is that I am not receiving the SMS right now.
