Elevenlabs V3 in Swahili

I am trying to test11Labs V3 TTS in Swahili.

Although I can see that V3 is listed as available in English, when I select Swahili as the language, I only see OpenAI TTS options. I’m not seeing 11Labs as a selectable option for this language.

It sounds like you’re trying to use ElevenLabs TTS (referred to as “V3”) with Swahili and only see OpenAI as an option.

  • Regarding language support: In Retell, Swahili is supported via OpenAI TTS. ElevenLabs does not list Swahili among its supported languages in Retell, which is why it doesn’t appear as a selectable option when you choose Swahili (Set language for your agent).
  • Regarding “ElevenLabs V3”: The currently documented ElevenLabs voice models in Retell reference variants like eleven_turbo_v2, eleven_flash_v2, eleven_turbo_v2_5, eleven_flash_v2_5, and eleven_multilingual_v2, not a “V3” model (List Voice Agents).

If your goal is Swahili TTS today, use the OpenAI TTS option. If you’d like, I can submit a feature request for adding Swahili support with ElevenLabs in Retell. Would you like me to file that?
