Hey Retell team,
I’ve been setting things up on the platform, but I noticed I’m only seeing options to buy US and Canadian numbers for my agents.
I’m really looking to get a German or Dutch number. Is there any way to unlock those regions, or do you have a timeline for when they’ll be available to buy directly? If I can’t buy them through you yet, is there a workaround to bring in my own number?
Let me know what the best move is.
Cheers,
Steven Jung
Hi Steven,
Retell AI currently supports native international calling to 14 countries, though the specific list of supported countries isn’t detailed in the available documentation.(1) German and Dutch numbers aren’t mentioned as directly purchasable through the Retell platform at this time.
However, you can bring your own German or Dutch numbers through custom telephony integration via SIP.(2) Retell AI supports connecting to custom telephony providers using two methods:(2)
1. Elastic SIP Trunking (Recommended)(2)
Set up a SIP trunk with your telephony provider that supports elastic SIP trunking, configure your German or Dutch number to point to it, then import that number to Retell.(2)
2. Dial to SIP URI(2)
If your provider doesn’t support elastic SIP trunking, you can dial calls to Retell’s SIP server URI: sip:sip.retellai.com(2)
To import your number into Retell, you’ll need to provide:(3)
- The phone number in E.164 format (e.g.,
"+14157774444")(3)
- The termination URI to identify your elastic SIP trunk(3)
- Optional authentication credentials (username and password)(3)
- Agent IDs for inbound and outbound calls(3)
Retell’s SIP server supports TCP (recommended), UDP, and TLS transport methods.(2) The IP blocks for whitelisting traffic are 18.98.16.120/30 (all regions), 143.223.88.0/21, and 161.115.160.0/19 (certain US traffic).(2)

Hello @kontakt.abmedia ,
You can buy a German phone number from any provider that supports SIP trunking and connect it.
