My Account Is Being Hacked
Beginning at 06:34 ET my ReTell account with workspace ID: org_9sD5vcivJqRhBn3o began to be hacked. For the next 6 hours overseas agents repeatedly attacked my website and initiated hundreds of outbound Voice AI calls racking up a $787.71 ReTell bill.
I learned of the attack after seeing unusual activity in my CRM. Our forms are secured by reCaptcha and honeypots, but the attackers have found their way around this. The attackers would pick up the phone and then play a podcast until the 15 minute max call duration was reached.
I’m not sure how to secure our individual accounts (or our client workspaces) from a flurry of repeat attackers. These attacks have cost me dearly and I won’t be able to pay this bill in it’s entirety. What can I do to resolve this issue and prevent it from happening again in the future?
