I’m using chatgpt 4.1 nano. it says the cost is .004 a minute. i adjusted for some hidden cost but price per the exact same conversation is very inconsistent and the actual price per call is less than a minute but 10 x the amount I was expecting. I have to have a very uncomfortable conversation with my client now.

I checked with the team and the call lasted 33 minutes after the transfer, and since a Retell number was used, telephony charges applied accordingly.

is there a way to blind transfer / disconnect mode, can transfer_call fully release the Retell leg after successful transfer?

Hey @j3385mac

Yes. Use Cold transfer, which is Retell’s blind transfer mode — “The call is transferred to a destination number and that’s it.” With SIP REFER specifically, the call is handed off to the telephony provider and the Retell leg fully releases. SIP INVITE is the other cold mode (bridges the path). Configure via the transfer_call tool or Call Transfer Node.
