Title: Senior AI Voice Engineer (Retell / Twilio / LLM)

Location: Remote
Type: Contract (30–90 days, extendable)

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior engineer to design and deploy AI-powered conversational voice agents capable of automating 70–80% of inbound and outbound customer support calls.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build real-time AI voice agents using:

    • Retell AI or equivalent

    • Twilio Voice (or SIP Vonage)

  • Integrate with backend APIs:

    • Proprietary CRM with web hooks or API access

    • Customer account systems

  • Design conversational flows:

    • Customer Support Help inbound calls

    • Tracking order requests

    • Billing inquiries

    • Help and Frequently Asked Questions

    • Transfer call to Live Agent

  • Optimize:

    • Latency (<1.2 seconds)

    • Call containment (70%+)

Required Experience

  • Twilio Voice / SIP/telephony systems

  • OpenAI / LLM integration

  • Real-time streaming audio systems

  • REST API integrations

Preferred

  • Retell AI Partner or Vapi experience

  • ElevenLabs or realistic voice synthesis

  • Prior call center automation work examples

Success Metrics

  • 70–80% call automation

  • <1.2s response latency

  • Positive customer interaction quality**
