I am currently deploying a chat bot with the help of your tool. The Chat Bot itself works good and the prompts lead to a chat flow that we like.
In the beginning we had issues because your text field did not support any formatting. Especially newlines and empty newlines.
All of the sudden a few days ago ( without any mention in your release posts) the Chat Bot on your Website had nice formatting with newlines etc. As you can see in my following screenshot: (The Bot is in german so you don’t need to understand the topic it is only about formatting)
Once integrated on our website with the Chat Widget all this formatting is lost. This also means the texts are not readable in a nice way. As you can see in that screenshot on the left is the chat from your website with your text format and on the right is the formatted text inside the widget. You can clearly see the text is the same, the newlines are missing though:
In this message this is not an issue perse, but in later messages where we requested Company Information and confirm that Data the texts become unreadable without any kind of newlines.
In the beginning we had prompts trying to make it more readable while having no formatting. The results here were lackluster and the text still was not readable in a nice way, leading to the bot being not functional as the conversion would be pretty low. (We want them to finish the information to get a personalized free asset) Suddenly the formatting on your website worked but the widget does not support that it seems.
Is there anything that can be done on our side so that the Chat Widget remains the same formatting as the retellai.com Website Chat box has ? Otherwise Retell is not really usuable for our use case and the only reason it is not useable is simple text formatting.
I tried to have a look into CSS without success.
Is this simply a missing feature on your side ? Or this is an user error on our side ?
We implemented the widget with the following code (ofcourse the agent-id and key were obfuscated in the real case they are the real values I won’t post those to a public forum though):

If this is a missing feature, can there be an expected release for text formatting in the chat box widget ? Otherwise we can’t really plan on releasing this chat bot agent and might have to scrap our project.
