Direct Native Integration with Social Media Channels (Facebook, instagram, messenger and whatsapp ) and Unified Inbox

I would like Retell to provide direct native integrations with major communication channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Email, and SMS.

The goal is to allow businesses to connect their social media accounts directly to Retell without relying on third-party middleware such as Make, n8n, Zapier, or other external providers.

Proposed Functionality

  • Connect Instagram, Facebook Pages, Messenger, WhatsApp, Email, and SMS directly to Retell.
  • Deploy Retell Chat Agents on these channels to handle incoming messages automatically.
  • Deploy Retell Voice Agents for phone-based interactions.
  • When a customer contacts a business through any connected channel, the Retell agent should respond automatically.
  • Allow seamless escalation to a human support team when requested by the customer or when the AI detects it cannot resolve the issue.
  • Provide a “Take Over Conversation” feature so support agents can jump into live chats or calls.
  • Store all conversations, leads, and customer interactions in a centralized inbox/dashboard.
  • Allow teams to manage, monitor, and respond to conversations from a single place.
