Enable the Twilio provider module

Hello Retell Team,

I am on the paid plan and working on bringing my own Twilio number.
However, under Phone Numbers → Add, I only see “Buy New Number” and “Connect via SIP Trunking.”
The “Telephony Provider → Twilio” option is missing in my workspace.

Please enable the Twilio provider integration for my workspace so I can add my Twilio number normally.

Based on the available documentation, “Connect via SIP Trunking” is the recommended method to integrate your Twilio number with Retell AI(1)(2). The documentation doesn’t mention a separate “Telephony Provider → Twilio” option in the dashboard.

To connect your Twilio number, follow these steps(1)(3):

1. Create Elastic SIP Trunking in Twilio(1)

  • Create the trunk and give it a name(1)
  • Setup termination (for outbound calls) with a termination SIP URI(1)
  • Whitelist IP addresses or create authentication with username and password(1)
  • Setup origination (for inbound calls) by specifying Retell’s SIP server address: sip:sip.retellai.com(1)

2. Move your Twilio number to the Elastic SIP Trunk(1)

3. Import the number to Retell(1)

  • Go to Phone Numbers → “Connect via SIP Trunking”(4)
  • Enter your Twilio number, Termination SIP URI, and SIP credentials (if using them)(4)
  • You can also import programmatically via the Import Number API(1)

The “Connect via SIP Trunking” option you’re seeing is the correct integration method(1)(2). Once imported, your number will appear in your dashboard and function like a Retell-purchased number(1).
