Slow canvas load in conversation slow (rigid mode)

Hi, I’m building an agent in conversation flow, rigid mode and the canvas is getting very sluggish. I have to wait a while after every single click or drag.

There are probably 40-50 nodes on the canvas now. I’m wondering if that’s normal behavior for 40-50 nodes or if there’s anything that can be done to improve that experience.

It sounds like you’re seeing sluggish canvas interactions in Conversation Flow (rigid mode) with ~40–50 nodes. Regarding whether this is “normal,” there isn’t a hard node limit, and large flows are supported, but complex graphs can feel heavy to manage visually.

To improve the editing experience:

  • Use the canvas Organize action to auto-layout the graph and reduce redraw strain.
  • Break the flow into Components (mini-flows you can reuse). This keeps the main canvas lighter and easier to navigate, while preserving functionality. See Components and the Node overview.
