If I have added some custom questions in the calendar in cal.com, can retell agent fill those question given that all the answers are collected in the conversation?
Hi @Ken007 Yes, when you save the Book Appointment (cal.com) tool, Retell calls cal.com’s event-type API and automatically imports all of that event’s custom questions as parameters the agent can fill. As long as the answer comes up in the conversation, the agent will pass it through to cal.com when booking.
Two tips:
- Make sure your prompt tells the agent to ask the custom questions (otherwise required fields will fall back to defaults).
- If you add or edit custom questions on cal.com after setting up the tool, re-save the tool in Retell so it re-fetches the latest fields.
Supported question types: short/long text, number, address, URL, phone, email, single-select, multi-select/checkbox, multi-email, yes/no.
