I need to receive calls on an Indian phone number and route them to your US servers. Which carrier do you recommend? I tried setting up an Indian number on Plivo but that did not work. Can you help pls?
For this setup, I’d strongly recommend trying Twilio instead of Plivo. Twilio tends to be much easier to connect with Retell, especially when routing inbound calls into a voice agent. The main thing to note is that you’ll likely need an Indian number/provider that can forward or bridge calls into Twilio properly, since Twilio usually won’t provide the Indian number directly. Once the call reaches Twilio, connecting it to Retell is usually straightforward. I also made a video walking through the setup here note this is once the number is in Twilio not before !

Plivo doesn’t sell Indian numbers directly, we have to request it.
Yes, plivo has issues. Try “vobiz”, we use that for our Indian Clients.
