Agent starts conversation with complete nonsense

On Random calls, the agent starts out with complete nonsense, rambling about various words, comments, etc that are not part of the script.

On the example below, it ran the outbound script on an incoming call. However, the output was jibberish.

It has happened several times on other calls. Once it gets on track, it seems to be fine. I was not sure if the issue was in the recording or the actual call, but I think it’s the call itself.

Is your first message static or a variable?,

I’ve replicated this in testing and that was due to me having a variable as the agents first message without populating it with any input.

was this a system-wide issue? I would have presumed it was how the agent was setup, but if retell had to fix, what was the issue?
