3-way call, AI transcriber while human rep talks

Hi you wonderful AI Agent crafters!

I have an odd question about 3-way/conference calls. I want to transcribe a call between our sales rep. and a customer and have your AI agent stay silent in the background as the call gets transcribed and summarized.

Do you have this option? I want to have our calls transcribed, summarized, and action steps made, using your platform. Can this be done?

Today, you can get live transcription and post-call summaries as long as the call flows through a Retell AI phone agent. A common setup is:

  • Inbound call → Retell AI answers

  • Retell transfers to your sales rep (3-way)

  • Configure the agent prompt to stay silent unless directly addressed

From that point, the AI can mostly “sit in” to transcribe/summarize the conversation.
