Need to enable outbound calling to Vietnam (+84) — "Call country not supported" error

Hi team,

I’m trying to make outbound calls from my phone number +1(509)351-2419 (workspace “PageCraft”) to Vietnamese numbers (+84), and every call fails immediately with a 400 error from the create-phone-call API:

“status”:“error”,“message”:“Call country not supported: VN, +84981682579”

On the Phone Numbers page in the dashboard, this number’s “Allowed Outbound Countries” setting already shows “All countries allowed”, so the restriction seems to be enforced somewhere deeper (Twilio backend / account-level compliance check) rather than something I can toggle myself.

Could you please enable outbound calling to Vietnam (+84) for this number / workspace? This is blocking an automated lead-response voice agent we’re launching for a Vietnamese-market client.

Unfortunately, Vietnam (+84) is currently not supported for outbound calls through Retell’s managed telephony providers. This is why you’re receiving the Call country not supported: VN error, even though Allowed Outbound Countries is set to All countries allowed.

To make outbound calls to Vietnam, you would need to use Custom Telephony with your own telephony provider/SIP trunk that supports calling to Vietnam.
