## Voice Selection & Customization

### Platform Voices

Retell offers a library of pre-built voices with different:

- **Gender** — male, female, neutral
- **Accent** — American, British, Australian, Indian, and more
- **Tone** — professional, friendly, casual, authoritative
- **Age** — young adult, middle-aged, senior

### Choosing the Right Voice

- Match the voice to your brand and use case
- Healthcare: calm, professional, reassuring
- Sales: energetic, confident, friendly
- Support: patient, clear, empathetic
- Preview voices in the agent settings before committing

### Custom Voice Cloning

- Clone a specific voice from audio samples
- Useful for brand consistency or celebrity/spokesperson voices
- Requires high-quality audio samples (clean recording, no background noise)
- Process: upload samples → Retell processes → custom voice available in your account

### Voice Settings

- **Speed** — how fast the agent speaks
- **Pitch** — higher or lower tone
- **Stability** — how consistent the voice sounds (lower = more expressive, higher = more consistent)
- **Similarity boost** — how closely to match the original voice (for cloned voices)
