# Getting Started Widget - Allow option to dismiss and disable it totally

Hi,

As a new user to RetellAI. I find the Getting Started widget is annoying. There is no way of disabling it. It gets in the way in Agent section especially. I asked support if there is a way to disable it, but was told it was designed to go away once all the steps are completed. However, for someone that is not new to Voice AI , there should be an option to dismiss or disable it. Especially, there is a step whereby you need to add phone number which incur cost to the user.

It is quite frustrating to force users to complete tasks they don’t need just to get rid of this persistent menu. There is no “Hide” or “Dismiss” button to clear it.

If a user wants to try a feature, let them; but if they don’t want or need it, they shouldn’t be forced to complete it. For example, I don’t use and don’t need outbound calls at all, yet this checklist remains stuck on my screen because of that last step.

Please add a simple “Dismiss” or “Close” button for this getting started panel.

It seems I was able to dismiss this now. Thanks for allowing the dismissing of the Getting started widget.
