Hi Retell team,

I’m getting “Call country not supported: LV, +371XXXXXXXX” when placing an
outbound call from my Retell-purchased number +1 (934) 245-7257 (Twilio
provider), workspace “LVR”. Destination is a Latvian mobile in E.164 format
(+371 2XXXXXXX).

Two requests:

1. Please enable LV (+371) for outbound calling on this workspace.

2. Separately, an architecture question I need answered before I provision
anything: if I import my own +371 DID via elastic SIP trunking, does the
supported-country restriction still apply, or does bringing my own carrier
bypass it? I’d rather not go through the (slow) process of getting a
Latvian DID only to find it’s blocked at the platform layer anyway.

We’re building outbound lead callback for the Baltic market, so if the answer
to #2 is “BYO bypasses it”, that’s the path we’ll take for LV/EE/LT rather
than requesting each country individually.

Happy to send agent ID, call IDs, and account email privately.

Thanks!

Hello @kristiaans Unfortunately, Latvia is not currently supported for outbound calls through Retell’s managed telephony providers. To make outbound calls to Latvia, you’ll need to set up Custom Telephony using your own SIP trunk.

More details here:

- [International calling rates for Retell numbers](https://docs.retellai.com/deploy/international-call)

- [Connect Retell voice agents to your telephony provider](https://docs.retellai.com/deploy/custom-telephony)

Bringing your own carrier via elastic SIP trunking does bypass this restriction. So if you import your +371 DID via [Twilio elastic SIP trunking](https://docs.retellai.com/deploy/twilio), the country gate is enforced by your Twilio trunk’s Voice Geographic Permissions, not by Retell’s platform-level list. You’d just need to enable Latvia under Twilio’s Elastic SIP Trunking geo-permissions on that trunk — Retell won’t additionally block it.

Thank You
